SUMMARY:Cole goes west, stays there
DESCRIPTION:From the time Amy Cole painted a Native American, she says her style was forever changed.  She still keeps a focus on warm colors of the west as she creates images of cowboys young and old carrying out their daily duties. Texas Artists Museum will feature her riders silhouetted by the sun and still life scenes of beaded moccasins in March. “Sheltered Rain” shows a cowboy in a yellow slicker on horseback protecting a calf.  “Lot 1328,” and “Waiting My Turn” are other titles in the Founders Gallery. Mary Jo Broussard’s outdoors scenes are also featured this month. “Shrimp Boats in Port Boliver, Texas” and the famous bluebonnets of a Texas spring are among her topics. Dorothy Norton is the Foyer Artist for March. Museum lovers will also want to visit Museum of the Gulf Coast this spring break season. Sea Rim State Park is open for natural beach lovers.
