No one leaves winery unhappy

Port Arthur native Shawn Bruno helped change Texas law so that he could make a raisin wine based on his grandfather’s old Italian methods. Other Than Standard Raisin Wine and Cardinal Cranberry won recent awards in San Francisco, and Bruno invites Port Arthur visitors to make an appointment for a tour and tasting at his nearby Sour Lake complex, Bruno & George Winery,

“Come and taste the best award winning berry wines in the entire state, at the winery, where no one leaves unhappy,” the personable Bruno said.

A showman with an acting and football history, Bruno will passionately share the story of how the winery developed and how to properly tell if a wine has “legs.” The tasting room is nestled in a bucolic field with grape-themed paraphernalia and plenty of outdoor seating where visitors may conduct a business meeting, picnic or even a reunion or wedding.

Wines are inspired by Salvatore Bruno’s original recipes established in the rolling hills of Salaparuta, Sicily, circa 1889. Aperitif and dessert selections include: Candlelight Strawberry, Holiday Blueberry, White Orchard Pear, Signature Peach, Arapaho Blackberry and Yellow  Jacket Raspberry.

To leave happy, you have to go. Call Bruno at (409) 963-8235 for your appointment.
